“Therapeutic grade” is a marketing term used by certain essential oil sellers, and has no relevance in terms of quality. We utilize gas chromatographic technology together with optical and physical testing to assess the quality of all raw materials used in our products.

Despite a long, pioneering involvement by our founder in the growing of Tea Tree oil under Organically certified conditions, PEI is obliged to not be dependent upon the narrow range and limited availability of certified Organic essential oils.

In comparing a particular essential oil from different suppliers, the oil may have been grown under different conditions, in various different areas, or may have been distilled, stored, and packaged differently. We at PEI attempt to buy from the same source each time to minimize differences, and quality control protocols are employed to verify that season-to-season variations are minimal.

Outside of the well-known single oils such as Lavender, Frankincense, Eucalyptus, Ginger, and Tea Tree, our blends are our most popular essential oils. Calm, Citrus, Un-Nausea (Ginger Melablend®), Breathe (Niaouli Melablend®), Northwoods, Peace (Lavender BlueMel), Respir-Ease, Therabreathe®, VetiRose, and Yoga (Rosalina BlueMel) are aromatically balanced and formulated to maximize the efficacy of the constituents chosen for specific aromatic benefits.

We excel in technical expertise and quality assurance. Our on-site laboratory exercises rigorous quality control utilizing gas chromatography, together with optical and physical testing equipment, to assess the quality of all raw materials used in our products, particularly the wide range of essential oils.

Store essential oils and blends safely, in a cool, dark place, bottles upright and securely capped. Room temperature is sufficient to store good quality essential oils. Storage in a refrigerator is not necessary, although in our laboratory we do store Reference Standard essential oils under refrigeration. Batch Retention samples are stored in freezers and are retained for a statutory three years. For general use and storage after opening, we recommend 7.5 ml bottles of essential oils which if stored properly and firmly capped when not in use, can be used with confidence for several months or more.

Aethereo®Sticks are given a nominal one year expiry date when sealed and unopened. When unsealed, opened, and in use, trials indicate that a product life of about three months can be expected, depending upon frequency of use. Due to variations in aroma intensity, some may be effective for much longer than three months. The variables to which the product may be exposed after opening will also influence the length of time the essential oil in the Aethereo®Stick remains available.

Both user and caregiver will appreciate how empowering it is for either or both to have control over when, for how long, and how frequently Aethereo®Sticks are used. For each, it is a personal decision when they desire to inhale the aroma. By contrast, the effect from a cottonball or a patch is in play throughout the room for as long as it is actively utilized. An Aethereo®Stick will be effective to use for many months, versus a day being the effective life of a cottonball or patch, making Aethereo®Sticks far more cost-effective.

Aethereo® Massage Oils are appreciated for their stability, purity, and skin-feel, (the “slip” desirable for massage). They contain only pure essential oils in a Fractionated Coconut Oil (FCO) base. In common usage, the term “Fractionated Coconut Oil” (FCO) is used. The term Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) is also commonly used. Golden Jojoba oil which has been stripped of the saponifiable fraction, termed Clear Jojoba Oil, is also stable and can be used, albeit at greater per-unit cost.

Yes, apply to damp skin after bathing to help retain moisture. Massage oils are effective as barriers against excessive moisture loss. This differs from claims (often made in error) that oils are moisturizing; they are not. When massage oils are applied to the skin, they can enhance softness and lubricity, skin properties which are diminished by soaps and long bathing times.

An Aethereo® Everywhere Diffuser weighs less than four ounces (under six ounces with batteries), and measures approximately 2.5” high and 3.5” in diameter. Depending on factors including airflow and humidity, this diffuser will be most effective within an eight to ten foot radius.

Aethereo® Everywhere utilizes a small fan to diffuse the essential oil into the area it is being used. It is ideal for small spaces – cars, hotel rooms, small bedrooms, practitioners’ rooms, or travel to in-home treatment sessions.

–  These diffusers are designed to diffuse the majority of the essential oil in the first three hours, so adding more oil after 2-3 hours would be optimal.

–  Aethereo® Everywhere Diffusers operate so quietly, that you can’t hear the fan running unless you hold it to your ear. They do not make any beeping noises when turned on or off.

–  Aethereo® Everywhere Diffusers use no heat from any source, therefore the essential oils diffused by them will not be heated.

–  Aethereo® Everywhere diffusers are manufactured in Taiwan to Plant Extracts International’s design and technical specifications. Aethereo® Everywhere Diffusers and accessories are BPA-free.

–  The purpose of the stainless steel Buffer Ring is to raise the Aroma Pad off the surface of the diffuser well, which helps prevent essential oil carry-over when changing from one oil to another.

–  This Diffuser is so quiet, you may not hear it running. You may have to hold it to your ear to hear it. If the green light is on, the Diffuser is working.

–  You can use any pure essential oils or pure essential oil blends in the Aethereo® Everywhere.

–  You can use rechargeable batteries, but they cannot be recharged in this Diffuser.

–  To use this Diffuser in your car, you will need a car adapter (which you may already have for your cell phone) and a USB cable (which you may also already have for your cell phone). Many people already own both. If you do, you will not need a special Aethereo® USB cable or car adapter. In addition to a 7.5 ml bottle of Lavender essential oil, each Aethereo® Everywhere  includes both a USB Cable and a Wall Adapter.

–  Leaving your Diffuser in a sunny or hot place would only be detrimental if left for an extended amount of time, or if left in direct sunlight.

–  To clean the Diffuser, gently wipe the outside of the Diffuser with an alcohol wipe, a soft, damp cloth, or a facial tissue. Wipe out the Diffuser well in the same way. As with all electronic devices, be careful to not get water into the electronics

As this is a simple device, with no serviceable parts, there is no need for a warranty on this Diffuser.
